About Saskia
It is my passion to give children insight into why something takes effort, what they can change about it and to learn what it takes to move forward independently with those insights.
With my background and more than 25 years of practical experience in education, I know how to achieve a lot with children; much more than parents and teachers often think possible.
Every child is different and requires a different approach. There is insufficient space for this in the classical environment. Regular education often lacks not only time and resources, but also the knowledge and possibilities to actually give a child the support and confidence that it needs to progress independently.
I look at where a child needs support in a personal way and with individual guidance. With my approach I provide insight and self-confidence, so that your child can continue independently.
MY EXPERTISE
Remedial Teaching
As a qualified remedial teacher I help your child to get back to the desired level in the field of language and arithmetic.
My support is tailored to the needs of your child and mainly focused on the learning process.
Learning and behavior specialist
The plus to my work as a remedial teacher is my expertise as a learning and behavioral specialist.
I look at the cause and investigate why a child lags behind in development or shows a certain behavior. And therein lies my strength.
Trainings
When it is clear what causes that a child has problems with parts of the curriculum, a lot can be achieved with targeted training.
My training sessions are always on an individual basis, tailored to your child and of short duration.
We achieve the best result if I, together with you and your child, look for the reason why performance is lagging or why a certain behavior is displayed.
REVIEWS

Both of my children have had good guidance from Saskia. They have benefited from this in their further development. We definitely recommend her.”

“Your efforts have given Jay more confidence in his reading. He still doesn’t enjoy reading very much, but he likes it much more because he can read better now. Your methods and approach have given him insight into how to act when he encounters problems in the field of learning. His attitude to work during the last lockdown was very pleasant. I am very proud of him and thank you so much for everything!”
Kawing (mother Jay), Berkel and Rodenrijs

I have experienced Saskia’s approach as very clear and pleasant. My son was behind in math and Saskia helped him with this. It was very clear to him what he was doing. He also enjoyed attending the Remedial Teaching classes. I enjoyed being able to attend the lessons with my son and I could see how he practiced with the material. I have seen that many different forms of work were offered in a fun way. My son started to understand the math better, got more self-confidence and fun in math. Thank you Saskia!”
