Saskia came across our path when she became a supervisor for our daughter Mette’s arrangement. In order to be able to tackle the care demand properly, she immediately set to work. First determine what the problem is, what stands in the way of solving that problem. and subsequently draw up a clear and thorough plan with a clear objective, which Saskia does in consultation with all those involved.
What we really liked is that she also involved us as parents directly in the guidance. By giving clear instructions and handles, she ensured that we could also guide Mette at home, so that our approach and that of Saskia was unambiguous. By also communicating this with the school, this could also be extended to the approach in the classroom. And perhaps most importantly: in this entire process, Saskia does not talk about our daughter, but with our child and us as parents at the same time. Saskia, lang’s deze weg wil ik je van harte aanbevelen en nogmaals ontzettend bedanken voor de begeleiding van onze zoon.
Mijn zoon is hoogbegaafd, viel uit het onderwijssysteem en zat hierdoor 2 jaar thuis. Hij had groep 5 afgerond en startte pas weer in groep 8. Hij had hierdoor een enorme achterstand opgelopen maar ook een emotionele dip.
Door de begeleiding van Saskia is het gelukt om ondanks Corona, waardoor er ook veel schooluitval was in groep 8 en de manier van onderwijs niet was zoals je dat normaal kunt verwachten, is het toch gelukt om twee jaar achterstand in te lopen.
Door jouw aandacht en manier van werken heeft onze zoon weer vertrouwen in zijn eigen kunnen gekregen en heeft hij de eindtoets met een prachtig resultaat afgerond. Dat betekent erkenning en bevestigen van wat wij als ouders al wisten over de capaciteiten van onze zoon.
Het principe eigenaarschap heb je duidelijk over weten te brengen. Hier gaat hij ook zijn voordeel mee doen binnen het vo. Ondanks het inlopen van een enorme achterstand zijn we er nog niet. We hopen ook dat je onze zoon in de brugklas nog even kunt begeleiden.
Ik hoop van harte dat scholen en ouders jou weten te vinden als de situatie daarom vraagt. Geef Saskia de ruimte om haar methode toe te passen en het resultaat zal je nog verwonderen.
